The Hospice Association of Ontario offers the following types of Membership opportunities:
• Community Hospice Membership;
• Associate Membership; and
• Individual Membership.
COMMUNITY HOSPICE MEMBERSHIP
Community Hospice Members are hospices created by community initiative
and organized and directed by a volunteer board of directors.
Benefits
• reduced fees for all HAO educational initiatives including conference, workshops & publications;
• a listing on HAO's website with a link to your organization;
• a subscription to HAO's bi-weekly electronic Wednesday News, Public Policy Bulletins, and HAO's Executive Special Reports outlining current provincial and federal health care policies and initiatives and our role in shaping them;
• consultation and engagement in the development of public policy development, education & training, accreditation, fundraising, public awareness, and administration;
• one vote at every special or general meeting of the membership; and,
• membership in the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association.
Annual Fees
• $180 (annual expenditure of less than $50,000)
• $340 (annual expenditure of $50,000 - $99,999)
• $550 (annual expenditure of $100,000 - $250,000)
• $700 (annual expenditure greater than $250,000)

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Associate Members are not-for-profit groups, organizations and/or
professional bodies with an interest in hospice palliative care.
Benefits
• reduced fees for all HAO educational and initiatives (workshops);
• reduced prices for HAO's publications;
• a listing on HAO's website with a link to your organization;
• a subscription to HAO's bi-weekly electronic Wednesday News, Public Policy Bulletins, and HAO's Executive Special Reports outlining current provincial and federal health care policies and initiatives and our role in shaping them;
• an information network for referral to appropriate community resources; and,
• membership in the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP
Individual Members are individuals who are interested in the objects
of the corporation, the Hospice Association of Ontario.
Benefits
• access to information on a Ontario-wide network of hospice palliative care programs;
• an information network for referral to appropriate community resources;
• access to information about all HAO educational initiatives including HAO's conference;
• receipt of HAO's Annual Report as well as select Special Reports outlining analysis of current provincial and federal health care policies and initiatives and our role in shaping them; and,
• membership in the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association.
