My doctor says I’m palliative, but I’m not bedridden. How long should I wait before contacting a hospice?

Even if you don’t need a lot of physical support, hospices can help you and your family with other issues as they come up. Emotional support, coordination of other services and respite care can assist you from the time of diagnosis. Many hospices also have day programs, complementary therapies, a lending library and other resources to help you, your family and friends during this difficult time.
