Who can access hospice palliative care?

Anyone who needs it; a person diagnosed with a life-threatening illness or suffering from a terminal illness; a caregiver who is finding it harder and harder to cope; family members who live at a distance from a loved one with a terminal illness; a parent who doesn’t know how to talk to his/her child about death; a friend or neighbor who wants to help but doesn’t know what to do. Many hospices have bereavement resources, libraries, specialized training for children’s issues and other supports.
